“From Tone to Color” is Vladislav Yeliseyev’s focused, four-day dive into value, color, and mood in watercolor.

You’ll explore:

The concept of tone (value) and why it drives everything
How to create a full range of values with watercolor techniques
Using value to build depth, dimension, and clear focal points
The relationship between value and color, including primary-based color schemes

Throughout the workshop, you’ll practice:

Brush techniques that move from bold and graphic to soft and subtle
Exercises and projects that focus on atmosphere and meaning
Using tone and color to guide emotion, not just describe objects

Vlad takes an individualized approach, meeting each painter where they are so everyone makes real progress.

You’ll leave with stronger control of value, smarter color choices, and a deeper understanding of how to create watercolors that feel rich, spacious, and emotionally resonant.

The optional closing dinner with the artist along with an additional night stay and breakfast the next morning are not included. The final night can be added when booking based your travel arrangements. Most participants add the extra night.

This package is non-refundable. With greater than 60 days before the workshop, the fees paid may be transferred to another workshop or stay at The Landgrove. From 31-60 days out, there is a 20% service charge to transfer the credit to another workshop or stay. The service charge is 35% of the booking value from 7-30 days before the workshop, and 75% with less than a week before the booking.
